Role: IT Administrator

The primary duty of the IT Administrator is to manage the corporate IT environment including but not limited to: desktop support, windows server administration, local network administration, PC application support, printer management, Exchange/Active directory administration and hosted VoIP phone system support.

Other responsibilities include:

  • IT asset management/inventory management
  • Warehouse /lab maintenance – set up, tidy, manage equipment sign out
  • Shipping/Receiving

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Windows server 2008+
  • LAN/WAN
  • VoIP/Hosted PBX system support
  • Windows 10+
  • MS Office suite

Role: Junior SIP Technician

The primary duty of the Junior SIP Technician is to triage and route incoming service issue tickets related to the ZIP Telecom voice network.  This is a customer facing role that requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will need to learn a basic troubleshooting for the suite of communication platforms provided by ZIP Telecom to its partner community. Understanding of SIP Trunking and fundamentals of IP based telecom deployments are requirements for this role.

Monitoring System Administrator

The primary duty of the Monitoring System Administrator is to maintain both our Zabbix monitoring system as well as our Grafana graphing platform. This will include adding/removing nodes to monitor, modifications/optimization of alerts and ongoing interpretation of alerts to create more optimized and specific notification messages. A significant portion of time would be spent in creating custom alerting scripts that both interpret given item values and apply modifications as well as calling on outside processes to validate data and present triage reports to accompany the alerts. Some items  would have to query the polling database directly to overcome platform limitations.

Grafana requirements will include the use of regular expressions to create conditional graphs and to automate the presence of customer facing and internal graphs both within the GUI as well as presenting links to other web based portals for display.
