Role: Systems Administrator

The systems administrator is responsible for administration of corporate IT elements. This includes the following areas of responsibility:

Systems Administration

  • Monitoring system (Zabbix)
  • CRM/Ticketing system (Connectwise)
  • Windows domain
  • Security/Antimalware
  • Spam Filter (Xeams)

Corporate IT Administration

  • LAN/wireless admin
  • Phone system (hpbx)
  • Desktop support (Hardware and application)
  • Software subscription management
  • IT/Lab Inventory
  • Multimedia management

Upkeep of related documentation for above tasks is also a requirement.

Required Expertise

    • 3+ years systems administration and IT support experience
    • Up to date knowledge of Microsoft Windows Domain including
      • Active Directory
      • Exchange
      • Teams (Skype)
      • DNS
    • Monitoring systems administration, ideally Zabbix

Role: Junior SIP Technician

The primary duty of the Junior SIP Technician is to triage and route incoming service issue tickets related to the ZIP Telecom voice network.  This is a customer facing role that requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will need to learn a basic troubleshooting for the suite of communication platforms provided by ZIP Telecom to its partner community. Understanding of SIP Trunking and fundamentals of IP based telecom deployments are requirements for this role.

Required skills and knowledge:

  • VoIP/SIP/Asterisk foundation
  • PBX and SBC familiarity

Role: Linux and Development Administrator

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain existing Linux platform servers. Determine and enforce standards for new deployments.
  • Test, verify, and perform upgrades/patching to ensure the integrity and stability of platform servers
  • Augment and maintain monitoring tools (Zabbix and custom scripts).
  • Manage continuous integration, automated and test-driven development.
  • Participate in platform and architecture design discussions. Actively seek out areas that can be automated through the integration of new technologies and best practices.
  • Comprehensive documentation and support for any deliverables.

Required Expertise:

  • Source Code, Incident, Deployment/CI Management: Git / GitLab (+Runner)
  • Strong Linux administrative knowledge and experience
  • Full stack, end-to-end, understanding of throughput, latency, memory, and CPU utilization in a multi-tiered architecture environment
  • Familiarity with Kamailio, REDIS, hubring, and Asterisk would be considered an asset

Skills:

  • Experience with: VMware, Zabbix, Shell scripting, Python, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and collaborative environment; constantly finds ways to optimize processes, automate where we can
  • Hands on ability to write code and develop software solutions.
  • Active listening and critical thinking skills with a creative problem-solving style
  • Demonstrable knowledge of network concepts, web applications and API (REST/SOAP services
